We are looking for environmental consultants  to join our team that specializes in environmental services including environmental due diligence, remediation, compliance, and permitting.

Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of consulting experience OR 2 or more years of performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and preparing reports.
  • Professional Engineer or Geologist preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Natural Resources, Physical Science or related field.

  • Strong communication skills and exceptional technical writing skills.

  • Attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work.

  • Strong work ethic with results-driven attitude.

  • Willingness to travel

Job Description

As an Environmental Consultant with NorthLand Environmental Consulting, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and integrating data into technical report documents for various projects. Your role will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:

  • Completing site assessments of current and historical conditions/uses of properties and adjacent properties.

  • Reviewing regulatory databases including underground storage tanks, above ground storage tanks, known or suspected release cases, hazardous substance storage and disposal.

  • Historical record review including aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, historical city directories and topographic maps.

  • Reviewing state and local agency records such as state environmental agencies, building departments, fire departments and health departments.

  • Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards.

  • Conduct environmental impact analysis and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Compose letters, technical memorandums and technical reports as well as preparing reports, correspondence, permit applications and business development materials.

  • Collect Environmental data and conduct field surveys.

  • Conducting site reconnaissance, including sampling activities.

  • Conducting site investigations related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air and sediment sampling.

  • Effectively communicate progress and issues with team members, clients and subcontractors throughout projects.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Completing formal training, reviewing professional publications and attending professional workshops as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
